  • 19 March 1965 - James Farmer, National Director of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), spoke at BC’s Law School Forum about the struggle for equality. • 24 September 1968 - In an orientation address to the freshman law students, Larry Schonbrun, the BC Law School chairman, said “"As regards to racism and an orientation to Boston College, I'll just give you some facts and you judge as you see fit. There are no black law professors here, but that's true of most law schools. However, there is not one black person on the entire staff of the law school in any capacity. Last year, out of a student body of 500 we had five black students." (“Law School chairman charges descrimination,” The Heights)
